In this chapter, you’ll explore the beginnings of the American Revolution. This includes reading about British attempts to pay off debts from the Seven Years’ War. You will also learn about the outbreak of war between Britain and its own colonies. Colonists were fighting for the right to govern themselves. The British monarchy was fighting to keep them loyal. You will also see how each side's principle, or moral idea, was defended.
